Anesthetic Monitoring

Anesthesia

Veterinary Anesthesia plays an integral part of our daily procedures.  It can be decribed in three parts; Local, Regional and General.

Local anesthesia is utilized when one must desensitize a localized area for diagnosis of pain, facilitation of minor surgical procedures and relaxation of muscle groups.

Regional anesthesia is utilized for diagnosis of pain or lameness and to facilitate minor surgical procedures.

Generalized anesthesia is required for some minor surgical procedures, and most major surgical procedures.

LCVH utilizes the latest in gas anesthesia for decreased length of unconsiousness and an increased control of depth during surgery.
