Courtney Broughton, Pharmacy Manager/Lab

Courtney started working for LCVH in August of 2006, coming from a background full of large and small animal experience, she knew they would always be a part of her future. As a child she was riding and showing horses as well as being a part of a 4-H group where she learned to raise, show and auction rabbits, chickens, sheep, and pigs. After being a part of the group for 4 years she had to choose between showing and being apart of the 4-H group, due to not having the time to do both. Courtney decided to pursue her gift for riding and showing paint and quarter horses as it was her biggest passion. She performed in english and western pleasure and equitation, hunter hack, trail, halter, and showmanship. Courtney continued showing all through out her school years until she had graduated in 2005. In her junior year in highschool she started working at the local feedstore where she worked her way up from the basic sellsperson and inventory stocker, to the assistant manager. After working at the feed store for over 3 years, she had come to the realization that she could no longer move up in the company and her time and devotion had come to an end. From there on she went to work for Dr. Dean and Clayton Hill of Pet Medical Center, where she was a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. Knowing that small animals were not her passion she decided her time there had come to an end. Learning from her horse trainer that Dr. Clint needed help down at his office she came down for an interview and has been with us ever since. Her responsibilites at LCVH are multifaceted , although her primary position is the pharmacy manager, she is able to perform in every apsect of the hospital. Her drive, work-ethic and devotion to LCVH is exceptional, along with her passion to be able to help animals, and pursue her dream.
