Internal medicine involves many aspects in which very few treatments can be performed safely in a field setting. Illness covers a very broad topic from gastrointestinal abnormalaties to internal organ failure or toxic injury. In order to properly diagnose and treat these problems, numerous diagnostic modalities are utilized including: ultrasonography, blood chemistry, microscopic evaluation of blood and abdominal fluid, endoscopy and radiology. All of which are available at our hospital with little need for outsourcing.
